A Brojanica (pronounced: brojanista) is a traditional Orthodox bracelet. Originally hand-woven in monasteries and used as a prayer beads, it is called Komboskini in Greece and Chotki in Russia. Brojanica is very popular and more & more people are wearing it in Serbia, it is truly outward symbol of faith. Commonly worn on the left wrist, it has progressively become a symbol of resistance and support to Serbs and more particularly Serbs in Kosovo, now considered foreigners in their own fatherland.
Now worn on the wrist by European identitarians, recently it has even been seen on Heinz-Christian Strache’s the dynamic leader of Austrian party FPÖ.
Wear and encourage others to wear, a Brojanica. – Solidarité Kosovo
